Criss Cross Cards

Happy New Year from my family to yours!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Holiday Season!  I decided to "unplug" from blogging for the Holidays and I'm so glad I did.  I feel refreshed and ready to tackle a new year AND a new catalogue full of wonderful new products; not to mention Sale-a-bration free item time!

Because I took a breather I didn't share many of the cards I created for Christmas.  I hope you don't mind seeing them after the fact!  I created our personal Christmas card this year in My Digital Studio. It came together so quickly and the print service at Stampin' Up! had them back to me in record time so I could mail them out.  Here's what the backside of the post card looked like:

I used a chalk board theme - definitely not the "usual" kind of card you receive but that's just the point - I love that it turned out so unique!

The cards I created for the boy's teachers use a card fold called Criss-Cross.  I used many products from my stash to complete all four which unfortunately makes them not CASE-able - the main thing I wanted to share with you though is the technique.  Always keep in mind that as with most techniques these Criss-Cross Cards can be embellished for any occasion!  You'll find if you look back a couple of posts ago I created a similar card called an Envelope card.  The two are quite similar; minus the fact that one uses the Envelope Punch Board and the other does not.  Stay tuned within the week as I hope to post a video on this technique!

If you have any questions on any of the cards pictured above, please just ask!  I didn't detail the supply lists this time around simply because I used so many retired products.

And remember that today is the kick off to the new Occasions catty as well as Sale-a-bration!  What better way to start a new year than with new products you can earn for FREE!!  There are some great products (BLENDABILITIES!!!!) that can earned with a minimum purchase of just $60; I'm excited are you???

Until next time...
