Punch Art Dino Side Step Card

Hello!

How has your week been fairing so far?  Our autumn weather has been so nice as of late that I'm finding it hard to stay inside and craft; I want to take full advantage of the sunshine while I can!

I'm still working on catching you up with cards and projects I've made over the last while and this cute little Dinosaur is next on the list.  When it comes to children's cards I more often than not lean towards punch art just because I feel its so much for versatile and allows me for more creativity.  A side step card like this one gives the card serious dimension and even more importantly, it gives me more real estate to work with which is ALWAYS a win win!

Quite a few of the elements within this card were free hand cut and I did use a few punches that have since been retired (anyone else still shedding tears from all the punches that are no longer available?). A cute feature that I think makes this card a little more special is the "lava" coming out of the volcano.  I cut pieces of heavier clear jewelry wire and attached sequins with a Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Glamper Birthday Greetings

Well Hello There!

It's been a minute (or two) since I last posted!  I took a mini vacation from my blog and related social media so I could focus on my boys during the summer and I have to admit it was a wonderful break. I certainly didn't stop creating during my time away; in fact I've created so much I'm overwhelmed with what to edit and show first!  Now that I'm back into a proper school routine I hope to get back to posting once or twice and week and slowly get through the heap of past projects mixed in with some new.

I'm also brainstorming for my newsletter series "12 Weeks of Christmas" set to start on October 3rd. If your interested in receiving a weekly tip, technique, or project to get you prepped for Christmas be sure to subscribe in the pop up that welcomes you when you first visit my blog.

How are you enjoying the new Holiday Catalog?  I went a little overboard and ordered a ton already and my wish list barely has a dent in it!  The very first set on my list was the one I made with the card shown above, Glamper Greetings.  What a truly versatile set!  From Birthday, Thanksgiving, Halloween to Christmas or just an everyday "hi" this set has you covered.  And who doesn't love a good two step stamp set?!

I stamped my images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White card stock then colored in the images with an Aqua Painter and my ink pads.  Super quick and super simple!  I think this set might just be the front runner for my Christmas cards this year!

Thanks so much for your patience while I took my "vacation" away from my blog.  I hope I can continue to inspire you with my upcoming posts!  I'd love to hear from you; what kind of tutorials, techniques, or posts would you like to see me do?  I'm always up for a new challenge!

I hope you have a wonderful day :)
