Lego Death Star Punch Art Card

Looks like we've reached the end of another week!  I can hardly believe we're already halfway through March...we've encountered snow, rain, sleet, and fog.  Overall yucky weather this month but I'm hoping we've made a turning point and Spring is just around the corner!  I can't wait to spend some time outdoors in my yard and garden!

Today I'm sharing another addition to my Lego Star Wars series cards.  I let my son decide which "ship" should be next and he chose the Death Star...which I was quite thankful for considering some of the options he could have went with!  I'm sure I spoke too soon though because the moment he seen this card completed he immediately ran to his Lego Star Wars book to look up another request LOL.

This card makes a great companion to the Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer & the Millennium Falcon cards I've shared before.  They are still by far some of my most popular and favorite posts; Lego has always seemed to resonate with young and old(er) alike and when you wrap up Star Wars into the mix its a win win!

What I love most about these cards is the additional dimension that they have.  This Death Star card is no different.  The inside circle portion of the card (I'm sure there is a more technical Star Wars term for it LOL) actually dips into a cone shape and looks quite realistic!

If you have a Star Wars lover in your life, or have purchased the previous two tutorials be sure to click over to my Tutorial Store page to purchase your template and tutorial!  Any suggestions as to what the next "ship" should be??  I'd love to hear your requests!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!  I'll see you next week with a few new card folds I've been playing with as of late.

Punch Art Fairy Card in a Box

Welcome to the start of another week!  I'm catching up on a few custom orders this week and thought I would share them with you as I finish them up.

I had so much fun creating this punch art Fairy!  First of all, anytime I get to make something for a little girl I get giddy, and second, I love being able to pull out various dies and punches and use them in a fun, unique using them in a new way makes me feel like I'm really getting the most out of my money.  I used a few retired stamps and dies from my stash but I'm sure if you wanted to re-create this with current products you could easily do so.  I'm already envisioning a Christmas Angel version...imagine her all in white with a halo surrounded by pine boughs and winter berries!

I hope this Fairy makes the little girl it's meant for smile!  I'll be sad to put her in an envelope and mail her off to her new home...I've enjoyed having her to look at on my desk for the last couple of days :)
