Happy Monday!
I'm one of "those" Mom's that's always on the hunt for treats that don't involve candy; especially for the boys to give to school friends. I found these cute little witch broom glow sticks on Pinterest and quickly jumped on the idea! The cost was minimal, they are super easy to create so the boys were able to help make them, and best of all they are perfect to strap on a wrist for safer trick or treating!
Supplies:
Stamp sets: Tee-Hee-Hee
Card Stock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Sticky Strip, 1/16" Circle Punch, Fringe Scissors, Small Glow Stick
Instructions:
Begin with a piece of Basic Black card stock approximately 2" x 2". Cut strips with the fringe scissors; leaving approximately 1/4" at the top of the cardstock. Apply Sticky Strip to the upper 1/4"; remove backing and begin wrapping tightly around one end of the glow stick. "Feather" the ends of the fringe out slightly to make the broom appear wider.
To create the tag cut a small strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock, stamp one of the sayings from the Tee-Hee-Hee set and punch a 1/16" hole at one end. Thread a small length of Early Espresso Baker's Twine through the hole and tie to the glow stick just above the base of the broom.
Hope this has inspired you to look beyond the same ole candy treat! And because they're so quick to make you still have lots of time to get creating before the big night (tee-hee-hee)!
Until next time...
