Twitterpated Iphone case

Morning All!

Its a cool overcast day here in my neck of the woods - seems like a perfect day to catch up on a little blogging, do some baking with the boys, and most importantly get some cards made!

I thought today I'd share this weekend's project I whipped up.  My sister and I recently entered the world of the iphone.  WOW!  I can honestly say there really IS an App for everything!

The moment I get something new, like a phone, my mind immediately turns crafty and attempts to find ways to accessorize.  I stumbled across this crochet case in Ravelry and immediately went rummaging for scrap yarn to make one for myself and one for my sister.  Choosing a co-ordinating fabric was easy - I had been hoarding my Stampin' Up! Twitterpated fabric waiting for inspiration - this seemed the perfect opportunity!

If your interested in creating one of your own, you can find simple step by step instructions HERE.  She has many other cell case patterns as well - I've bookmarked a few to try later cause let's face it - having only one cell phone case is like having only one purse (honestly, who does that??) LOL

Here's what the case looks like closed...I used some vintage buttons I had on hand to keep the case secure when your cell phone is inside.

This is the one I made for my sister.  The only difference is I added a wrist strap on the side so she could use it as a cell case and a small purse - a credit card tucks neatly behind the cell phone so you don't have to carry your whole purse around for a quick outing.

Now that I've made these it only sets a fire under me to create something else.  I'm working on creating a snap on case for the back of my phone using a clear cover - completely custom and unique!  As soon as I figure out the details I'll be sure to share it with you :)  I'm also working on a tutorial to create custom wallpapers for your iphone using MDS - super fun and really easy!

Have a great day everyone!  Until my next post...
