Today I'm sharing a video on how to re-create the look of stamped leather. It's a super quick and easy to execute technique and is perfect for those always hard to come up with masculine cards. In the sample above I used the Four Feathers set and matching Framelits from the Holiday Catalog. I love the look of the faux leather with the sparkle of the Glimmer papers!
Four Feathers Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Four Feathers, Good Greetings (Hostess Set)
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds & Champagne Glimmer Paper
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Lost Lagoon
Big Shot: Feathers Framelits, Window Frame Framelits
Accessories: Foam Mat, Stylus Tool, Linen Thread, Hole Punch, Piercing Tool
For my second sample I went all out with the masculine theme - I think it will be perfect for my Brother-in-Law's birthday. I began by stamping the Moose in Chocolate Chip ink then creating a mask from a sticky note and covering the original image. I was then able to stamp the tree line behind the Moose along with the spruce trees along either side. The remainder of the card was created using the same technique that I show within the video.

Accessories: Large Oval punch, Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Pumpkin Pie marker, Soft Suede marker, Foam Mat, Stylus Tool, Antique Brads

Thanks for the video! I love this look! Going to use it for a few masculine cards that I need in the next few weeks...guy cards are difficult to come up with. This is going to be my go-to technique!
OMG!!! Looks so darn real, my hubby does leather tooling, so that is why I am so impressed. I do not have Crushed Curry, wonder what color I could replace it with?

You have no idea how timely this was for me. I have a good friend who turned 90 years old yesterday and he still rides his horses in the Santa Monica mountains. I changed the moose to a horse and created this amazing card for him. I wish I could figure out how to get a pic to you. Thank you so much for sharing what you know.
