She's All That

Hi Everyone!  I finally have a post to share with you after what feels like forever!  My 10 month old is on the verge of walking and has decided naps are really not his "thing" as of the moment.  Simply put: Mommy is busy and the stamping is neglected. :(

Today's card is what we like to call a hybrid in the stamping world.  I was searching through the My Digital Studio catalogue and came across a set of stamps called She's All That.  I fell in love with the 4 fabulous women featured in the set and new I just had to download them and incorporate them into my cards.  Plus, I wanted to try them out in my recently upgraded My Digital Studio to My Digital Studio 2!  The new features are fantastic and I was able to put some of them to good use in this card.

If you haven't tried out My Digital Studio 2 yet, what are you waiting for??  You can give the software a whirl FREE for 30 days!!  Just click on the link on my sidebar to be redirected to download MDS2 today!

Supplies:

Stamp sets: She's All That (MDS)
Cardstock: Glossy White cardstock, Lucky Limenade, Raspberry Ripple, Specialty Sweet Shop DSP (retired)
Ink: none
Accessories: Framelits Labels Collection, Lacy Brocade textured impressions folder, Pool Party 1/2" seam binding ribbon, basic pearls, snail adhesive, sticky strip

Just one of the great new features in MDS2 is the ability to "color" stamped images.  The image I used is completely black when you begin but I was able to color; in Stampin' Up! colors; the cake, her shoes, hair tie, and necklace with just the click of a mouse.  How cool is that??  After I was done editing, I printed the image on glossy white cardstock.  The main reason for doing this was to ensure my image printed as beautifully as it looked on the screen - printing on plain cardstock (for me anyway) makes my images appear grainy and the color washed out.

See you soon with another creation!  Thanks so much for looking!
