Color Washed Window View

Happy Friday!

Today's card is #3 in my Artisan Award submissions.  I loved using the Color Wash technique so much I thought I would incorporate it into another card; with a few additions.  If your not familiar with this technique I have a step by step picture tutorial here, along with a few other cards I've done using this technique.

After I color washed the flowers I cut them out, flipped them over, then used my Stylus tool to give them a "puffy" appearance.  If you would like to give this a try, work the Stylus tool in a circular motion beginning from the center of the flower outward - the edges will begin to lift and give your flower a more realistic appearance when you flip it back over.  Then its as simple as using a dimensional to apply it to your project.

Here is a look at how I finished the inside of the card - it also gives you a better view of how "puffy" the flower and leaves look.

Supplies:

Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden, Tea Shoppe
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals, Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse, Baja Breeze DSP Stack (Subtles Collection)
Classic Ink: Baja Breeze, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green

Please keep in mind as you look at these entries that I submitted them before the new catalog was released.  Therefore many of the accessories, papers, and even stamp sets are now retired product.
